Project Files
The harness shop of John F. Remsen was located here in the late 1880s. The building is distinguished by its "flat-iron" shape, the narrow end of which has a small vestibule with a pepper-pot roof. The building is shingled and a the façade is surmounted by a Classic Revival cornice, with applied rectangular moldings. The livery stables in the rear were destroyed by fire in the 1950s and the 1960s.
The building became Fern's Harness Shop restaurant/bar in the 1970s. Later it became the Poco Loco restaurant before a 2014 fire damaged the building.
