Built on the site of the Willet Titus General Store in 1940 as a funeral home.
It became the station house for the Sixth Precinct of the Nassau County Police. The building was dedicated on May 12, 1954.
Latter, the building was used by Nassau County as the Lilian M. Pierce Senior Citizen Center.
